Privacy Policy

Mizan Media ("we", "us") is a Toronto-based marketing company. This policy explains what personal information we collect through mizanmedia.ca, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and apply Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) to all commercial electronic messages.

What we collect

• Information you submit: name, email address, company, city, social handles, audience details, budget range, and anything you write in a message — collected only when you submit a form or email us.
• Newsletter signups: your email address and your record of consent.
• Technical data: privacy-respecting, aggregated analytics (page views, referrers, country, device class). We do not build individual profiles of visitors.

Why we collect it

• To respond to your inquiry or creator application.
• To deliver research briefings and updates you have expressly opted into.
• To operate, secure and improve this website.

We do not sell or rent personal information. We do not use your information for purposes beyond those above without telling you and, where required, obtaining your consent.

Consent and withdrawing it

Forms on this site use express opt-in consent (CASL). You may withdraw consent at any time — every email we send includes an unsubscribe link, or you can write to hello@mizanmedia.ca and we will action it promptly.

Service providers

We use a small number of providers to operate the business, each receiving only what is necessary: website hosting and security (Cloudflare), business email (Google Workspace), and customer relationship management for inquiries (HubSpot). Some providers store data outside Canada (e.g., the United States); where they do, your information is subject to the laws of those jurisdictions.

Retention

We keep inquiry and application records for as long as needed to serve the relationship and meet legal obligations, then delete them. Newsletter records are kept until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Contact hello@mizanmedia.ca; we respond within 30 days. If you are unsatisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Cookies and analytics

This site is designed to work without advertising cookies or cross-site tracking. If we adopt analytics tools that require cookies in future, this policy and the site will be updated before they are used.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with an updated date. Material changes affecting how your information is used will be communicated to affected contacts.
